Services Offered / Rate Card
There are three (3) basic essentials to any website:
- First, you have to have a domain name registered with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) (Domain Registration). This is the central agency which regulates the issuance of domain names to ensure there are no duplicates across the World Wide Web. Since this organization only regulates domain names (website addresses), it is necessary to register through a duly authorized registrar.
- Secondly, you will need a place to house your website (Hosting). This is usually done by large corporations using in-house servers which can be cost-prohibitive to smaller businesses. This is because servers can cost thousands of dollars depending on how they are configured. We use 3rd–party providers to benefit from economies of scale which brings your individual costs down considerably.
- Finally, you need a website built (Web Development). This is where we come in. Building a website takes a considerable amount of knowledge and talent to achieve the desired effects. While anyone can build a website if they have the skills and knowledge necessary, many businesses do not have the time or resources to devote to such endeavors. By engaging our services, you can have your website built and maintained professionally, to your exacting specifications, while retaining complete ownership of the website.
| Hosting and Registration: If you do not have your own hosting service, we can get you set up with one. Prices for the hosting services we recommend are shown below. If you already have hosting services, or an existing website with a host you prefer, we can work with most providers.
We charge a fee of $45 for the administration of your website hosting and registration if you wish us to be responsible for continuous service. This fee only applies to websites where we actively monitor renewals and only applies when renewals are necessary. For example, if you purchase one (1) year of domain registration and hosting, our fee is $45 to set this up each year. If, however, you purchase three (3) years of domain registration and hosting, the fee is still only $45 and occurs once every three (3) years. You can save up to $90 with multi-year registrations. |
